I met Lois the first year I started selling Doodle Bugs. She immediately understood and appreciated my products. Ironically, the same year I presented this concept to my college professor, Lois was a teacher involved with a Federal Educational Pilot program, similar to my full brain concept. In the pilot program, the students sat in a circle. They learned through skits, songs and many other interactive techniques. They were given deductive reasoning skills and were allowed to share their personal opinions. They were taught confidence without arrogance. The teachers did not grade the students using the “Bell Curve” system. If a student answered the test questions to receive an A grade, they are given an A. After that pilot program, Lois helped Paul E. Dennison, PH.D promote Brain Gym. Paul was also involved with the pilot program. Brain Gym is an Educational Kinesiology technique used in many schools across the world. Lois returned to college to acquire her PhD in therapy. She knew like I did, until adults understand analytically the “Full Brain” process than personally apply it creatively, we can not change our fear based systems. Adults are the key.
From my experience: Adults are teaching their children to ask questions, apply their knowledge and feel comfortable with their decisions. These are the days when adults are learning to heed their own advice. I truly believe this interactive manuscript will help this process.
Thanks always, Kim
